We have two Wine and Wax Wednesdays scheduled. One for beginners and the second for advanced students! Wine and Wax Wednesdays (Beginner) What:Make beeswax candles and enjoy honey wine (mead) and charcuterie boxes . You may choose from our meat and vegetarian options and a non-alcoholic beverage in lieu of mead.  Dates: Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm Cost: $48 per person Indulge in a glass of mead, with a charcuterie box and crackers (for 2), and roll your own beeswax candles! This class is designed to let you enjoy an evening of making rolled beeswax candles, at a beginner level, and is a great girls night or date night activity. You will receive two single sheets of beeswax, and everything you need to create two sets of classic beeswax-rolled candles. For those of you wanting to try the more advanced rolled and fluted candles, see the advanced workshop registration below. Additional sheets of beeswax will be available for purchase if you wish to make more candles. This activity is designed for a fun family learning experience. Come and learn about what our pollinators need to survive, their role in our food production, and, specifically, how we can help the honey bees by planting bee-friendly plants. You will receive a short informational session on honey bees, experience in planting seeds/plants, a package of seeds to plant when you return home, as well as a package of 10 honey straws or a small jar of honey. You get to choose! Come back in the summer during our sunflower patch days, or for a bee garden demonstration tour, to see the fruits of your labour and how it benefits the bees.
